Have you ever felt like you weren’t achieving the results that you know you are really capable of?

I know I’ve felt like that many times.

I was doing a motivational talk yesterday with a group of top performing sales people and one of the things we were talking about was the 4 minute mile…

See, before Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile barrier, everyone thought it was impossible to run the mile in 4 minutes or less… But when it was achieved all of a sudden many others starting running the mile in under 4 minutes.

Isn’t that interesting?

Sometimes we let ourselves be limited by our success thermostat… Meaning that if you’ve earned the same amount of money for the last few years like $100,000 for instance, you’re thermostat is set to that level.

Our mind is a very powerful thing, hey.

I’ll be the first to put my hand up and confess I’ve been affected by the success thermostat syndrome in the past… And I wasn’t even aware of it, as… “You don’t know what you don’t know!”

The BIG changes started happening for me when I began pouring the right fuel in… We are a lot like cars when you think about it, put in crap fuel and you get poor performance.

When I began reading all about others successes and attending countless seminars around the world pouring the high performance fuel into my mind, things rapidly began to change.

Much like the 4 minute mile syndrome I guess, all of a sudden when I seen and heard what others were achieving, I knew with the right guidance it was possible for me to do it too.

The result… My success thermostat limited me no longer… And my income continues to accelerate each year as I continue my own personal development and help others do the same.

This old saying rings so true;

“Rich people have big libraries, poor people have big TV’s”

I hope that helps, as I’m guessing like the rest of us you’ve got a bigger game to play.

I find it amazing how fast a lot of people are jumping on the recession band wagon. A business owner just the other day was sharing with me how tough things were and how it was going to get worse and on and on…
When he asked me how I’m finding it at the moment, I didn’t want to tell him that business is booming for us, so I tamed it down and shared with him that if he wasn’t getting his desired results maybe he should try doing things a little different…
He snapped, I don’t care what anyone says there’s nothing you can do to make someone walk through that door. I felt sorry for this person, but until he’s prepared to remove the blinkers and have an open mind, he’s un-coachable.
On the flip side I hope you can see why I keep going on about the massive opportunity’s out there in the market place for those who invest in themselves first, learn how to play the game of business and the world is your oyster!!

That’s the power of the human mind and providing we put ourselves in the right environment (peer group) and continue taking in the right positive fuel (information), then all of our wildest dreams can come true.

There are countless examples of people coming to this country with almost nothing and not knowing the English language, that have gone on to make huge successes of themselves.
